On Wednesday January 12 we are going to Kananaskis Village with the first drop off at the Ribbon Creek parking lot, and the next at Kananaskis Village.  The Kananaskis Lodge allows anyone to purchase lunch, drinks as long as a mask is worn. Also the bathroom facilities can be used.

Please remember that all people getting on the bus must adhere to the club’s covid guidelines which can be found here.

SKIERS

A & Bs – Option 1. Start at Ribbon Creek, ski to the connector to Kovach and Aspen Trail 12 KM. ski back to Ribbon Creek for pickup. If time permits you can do more of Ribbon Creek.

-Option 2. Start at Ribbon Creek, starting at the Skogan Pass trail turn left at Centennial and connect to Coal Mine to Mine Meadows Loop. This loop can be as far as you want to go.

Cs – Terrace Link or Aspen. Approximately 7 KM.  If you require more skiing you can ski back to Ribbon Creek for the pick up.

SNOWSHOERS

A & Bs – Hummingbird Plume 12 KM 450 M elevation. Start at the Ribbon Creek parking lot taking the trail to the right, cross the Nakiska road and follow the signs. Trails are groomed in part of the trail

Bs – Coal Mine to Mine Meadows loop 7.5 KM 245 M elevation. Start at the Ribbon Creek parking lot and take the trail to the left and follow the signs.

Bs & Cs – Terrace Trail 13 KM. Start at the Mt. Kidd Manor parking lot to the Kovach Trail and go left at the Y junction.  Go as far as the avalanche chute and return. You can also snowshoe on Kovach or Aspen being mindful of the track setting.

Pick up times:

Kananaskis Village – 2:45 PM
Ribbon Creek – 3:00 PM
Returning to Calgary approximately 4:30 PM
