Description: Carburn Park is a reclaimed natural area situated just east of the Bow River in the neighbourhood of Riverbend. Two constructed ponds provide an interesting contrast to the habitat of the flowing river, making the area popular with birdwatchers. The park was created in 1970. It was once a part of Senator Patrick Burns’ holdings. Much of the land was acquired from Carburn Aggregates, hence the name Carburn Park. There are paved and natural pathways within the park. The park also connects to the Bow River Pathway system.
