- Start Time: 10:00 AM (arrive early, 9:45 for sign up and orientation)
- Meeting Place: Glenbow Ranch Parking Lot. From Calgary take Crowchild Trail to AB 1A west approx. 14km. Turn left (south) onto Glenbow Road and drive 2.8 kilometres on the gravel road until you arrive at park entrance and parking lot.
- Description: Enjoy stunning vistas, unique viewpoints of the Rockies, rolling hills and prairies as we explore a myriad of paved and shale pathways. From Calgary to Cochrane, the Bow River Valley stretches for miles below. Post hike, stop in at the Visitor Centre, located at trail-level on the south side of the Park’s Office building. The exhibits provide insight into the natural and cultural history offered by these protected lands. Please Note: During inclement weather the VIC will be closed.
- Route/Walking Details: (Tentative Loops) – Tiger Lily, Badger Bowl, Bowbend Trail, Scott Trail, Yodel Loop and Glenbow Trail. Covering as many of the six major trails as possible in 2 hours (or as time and weather conditions permit). Distance will be approximately 9 km with elevation @ approximately 230m.
